Hand & Dagger Tattoo is a private tattoo studio located in the heart of Kansas City, Missouri. At Hand & Dagger, we value not only the art of tattooing, but the client experience as well. Our brand new, minimalistic studio was designed specifically for the ultimate escape from reality. Come kick back & watch a movie, listen to music, and enjoy a complimentary beverage with us. HOW DO I BOOK AN APPOINTMENT?
Our artists do our best to make the tattooing process as easy as possible from start to finish. To book an appointment, the best way would be to click the "Book Now" button, from there fill out the form and an artist will reach out to you as soon as possible. You can also call, text or email the shop to speak with an artist.
HOW OLD DO I HAVE TO BE TO GET TATTOOED?
You must be at least 18 years of age to receive a tattoo.
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO GET A TATTOO?
The price of your new tattoo is dependent upon several factors, such as, the selected artist, the size, detail of the design, location on the body where it will be placed. Our studio’s minimum cost for a tattoo is $60 and increase from there.
HOW CAN I GET A PRICE QUOTE?
The best way to get an accurate price quote would be through a free consultation with the artist you have chosen. We can schedule in persons consultations or in most cases do an online consultation, which ever would be most convenient for you. HOW DO I PREPARE FOR THE CONSULTATION?
The consultation will be more of a conversation. We will go over your ideas in detail with you and give you a price estimate. If everything sounds good to you at the end of the consultation we will collect a deposit and get you scheduled with an appointment for your tattoo.
You are welcome to bring to the consultation any type of reference you would like us to take a look at and keep in mind when designing your tattoo. This can be pictures of tattoos that you like, photography, actual things you would like us to take photos of, anything that helps describe what your goals are for your tattoo.
DO YOU ACCEPT WALK-INS?
The term “walk-in” generally refers to not needing an appointment and just walking in and getting a tattoo. We do our best to be accomodating. Walk-ins will be handled on a first come first serve basis, dependent upon cancellation availability. Hand & Dagger Tattoo is a private studio in a secured building, so please call or text the shop at 816.866.8844 for walk-in availability.
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO HEAL A TATTOO?
Tattoos take around two weeks to “heal” on average.
HOW DO I CARE FOR MY NEW TATTOO?
Every artist and shop have their own recommendations for healing your new tattoo. We will provide you with all aftercare instructions after completing your tattoo.
WHAT FORMS OF PAYMENT DO YOU ACCEPT?
We accept cash or any major credit card. All credit card transactions incur a 5% processing fee. Checks are not accepted.
DO YOU REQUIRE A DEPOSIT?
Yes. A 25% deposit is required to make an appointment. Deposits are non-refundable and will be applied to the final price of your tattoo. A copy of our deposit policy will be given to you when you set up your tattoo appointment.
HOW SHOULD I PREPARE FOR MY TATTOO?
We recommend you get a good nights sleep, have a good meal, and stay hydrated. Please dress comfortably, with the area you are wanting to get tattooed in mind. Make sure to bring a valid, government issued, picture I.D. (such as a drivers license, passport, military I.D.). You are free to bring your lunch or snacks to your appointment as well.
DO YOU DO PIERCINGS?
We do not currently offer piercings, however, we can refer you to an establishment that does.
